Joanna Jedrzejczyk meets 'Thug' Rose at UFC 217:

Wisconsin born Namajunas, is a deadly striker in her own right, holding black belts in both Taekwondo and Karate, but holds a distinct advantage in any possible grappling scrambles or exchanges, with her brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. All three of Rose's UFC finishes have come via rear naked-chokes, dispatching former Invicta FC Strawweight champion Angela Hill, the up and coming Paige VanZant and most recently, finishing Michelle Waterson via submission after a brutal headkick knockdown. Despite her rise to the high ranks at 115lbs, Namajunas still faces arguably the greatest female mixed martial artists to strap on a pair of gloves, and with such precise and well thought out striking, Jedrzejczyk could still dismantle Rose over five rounds as she has done so often with her recent challengers.
This Strawweight meeting serves as the first of three title fights, playing second fiddle to the co-headliner featuring fierce rivals and former Team Alpha Male teammates Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillashaw, while the main event sees the eventual meeting between Middleweight champ Michael Bisping and former Welterweight king Georges St-Pierre. The November 4th event also features, Johny Hendricks, Mickey Gall and a mouth watering potential Welterweight title eliminator between two time title challenger Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson, and supreme boxer Jorge Masvidal.
