Joanna Jędrzejczyk meets Tecia Torres at UFC on Fox 30:

Can Joanna avoid a third straight loss?

Former UFC Women's Strawweight queen Joanna Jędrzejczyk looks to recover from two consecutive losses to Rose Namajunas, as she takes on fellow top contender Tecia 'Tiny Tornado' Torres in the UFC's huge return to Calgary.

Joanna, lost her title and undefeated record in dramatic fashion back at UFC 217, falling victim to a picture perfect 'Thug' Rose left hook, before tapping to strikes, forcing referee Big John McCarthy to bring a halt to the bout early in the first. Attempting to avenge her sole career upset, this time a cool, calm and composed Joanna went the distance with Robert Whittman trained Namajunas, losing a close decision to the youngster. A brash Joanna, has been a constant throughout her gold ridden career, but her dismantling, smothering Muay Thai style afforded to previous opponents, Claúdia Gadelha, Jéssica Andrade, Carla Esparza, Jessica Penne and compatriot Karolina Kowalkiewicz was a far cry from her initial performance against Milwaukee's Namajunas.

Having her equally impressive win streak snapped at the hands of the rejuvenated Jéssica Andrade, Triple Threat Gym product Tecia Torres was arguably one more victory away from a deserved title tilt. Amassing three straight victories over Bec Rawlings, the experienced Juliana Lima and the well traversed Michelle Waterson, an aggressive, pressure pushing Andrade proved too much for Torres at this stage in her career. Torres, notably holds a hugely impressive victory over current 115lbs champion Rose Namajunas and has also overcome former Invicta FC champ Angela Hill and recent upstart Felice Herrig.
