Wexford native, Brian ‘The Pikeman’ Moore is scheduled for his first appearance on Irish soil since November 2017, as the bantamweight striker books a February 25. return against the undefeated Jornel Lugo at Bellator Dublin from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

Seeing his impressive three-fight winning run halted back in October at Bellator 269 in Moscow, Russia – dropping a unanimous decision loss to Nikita Mikhailov despite a late third round rallying effort.

Lugo, 7-0 as a professional and currently sat at #9 in the official Bellator bantamweight rankings, most recently stopped Keith Lee, the brother of former interim UFC lightweight title challenger, Kevin Lee with an opening round rear-naked choke at Bellator 265 last August. News of Moore’s return against Lugo was initially reported by Severe MMA reporter, Sean Sheehan.

Headlining in his last outing in the capital, Moore dropped a decision loss to the current undisputed Bellator featherweight champion, A.J. McKee at Bellator 178 – in a really close back-and-forth showdown.

In six fights since, Moore has established a 4-2 run under the Scott Coker-led banner, including a quartet of victories against Giorgio Belsanti, Son Le Binh, Simone D’Anna, and a June unanimous decision win over Jordan Winski.

26-year-old Miami native, Lugo has managed to score four victories in his first four outings with Bellator since linking up with the organization back in October 2019.

Lugo added the aforenoted, Lee to a run that includes triumphs over Cass Bell, Schyler Sootho, Cortavious Romious, and John Douma.

Bellator Dublin takes place on February 25. from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland – with an undisputed middleweight title fight between reigning champion, Gegard Mousasi, and the undefeated challenger, Austin Vanderford slated to take main event status.

In the night’s co-headliner, recent vacant lightweight title challenger, Peter Queally returns in a lightweight clash against Manchester veteran, Kane Mousah.
