Jon Jones informed of failed UFC 214 drug test:

The P4P #1 has landed himself some more trouble:
UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon 'Bones' Jones has been notified by USADA of a failed drug test as part of their anti-doping policy and is said to be facing a four year ban for his second offence. Jones faced long time foe Daniel Cormier in a long awaited rematch at UFC 214 on the 29th of July, scoring a head kick knockout victory over 'DC' to reclaim his crown, but just over a year after his initial failed drug test, Jones has once found himself in USADA hot water.

Jones is believed to have tested positive for the anabolic steroid Turinabol, a performance enhancing drug popular within the weightlifter community. The test sample was alleged collected some time after the official weigh ins before UFC 214, while Jones camp are said to be eager to have the 'B' sample tested. Jones will be suspended during the investigation period while it also yet to be determined if the New York native will be stripped of his Light Heavyweight crown for the second time, a highly likely scenario. The rematch will most likely be overturned to a 'no contest' while the vacant title will either be granted back to Cormier or booked for a vacate title fight. Jones of course called out former UFC Heavyweight king and PPV superstar Brock Lesnar and the bout between the pair as well as a December meeting between Jones and Stipe Miocic was said to be in the forefront thoughts of the UFC matchmakers. The Jackson/Wink MMA trainee told the media contingency countless times before his second meeting with Cormier how he had turned a corner in terms of drug use and was ''clean'', but it now remains to be seen if Jones ever competes in the octagon again. This second failed test also casts a shadowy doubt over the success story of Jones.
