What's next for Cris 'Cyborg':

Is there anyone capable of stopping the siege of 'Cyborg'
After a truly dominant title sealing victory over short notice replacement Tonya 'Triple Threat' Evinger, Brazil's Cris 'Cyborg' finally got her hands on UFC gold, but the road ahead in terms of a first title defence is full of different twists and turns. Curitiba favourite 'Cyborg' firmly cemented her name at the forever forefront of Women's MMA at UFC 214, clinically out striking Tonya Evinger throughout the course of three brutal rounds for the American, which came to it's thankful conclusion with a barrage of knees in the clinch. Cris adds the UFC Featherweight title to her already gleaming display cabinet, which houses the Strikeforce Featherweight crown, Invicta FC title, and a couple of IBJJ World Jiu-Jitsu Championship gold medals, also posing the question, is she now the greatest female mixed-martial artist in history? It's difficult to argue.

Holly Holm matchup: The most logical first title defence attempt would occur against former UFC Bantamweight champion Holly 'The Preachers Daughter' Holm. In a hugely debated and undoubtedly controversial matchup against inaugural 145lbs queen Germaine de Randamie, Holm was twice rocked after the buzzer in their meeting without punishment, seeing Holm trudge out of Brooklyn without the title, and a unanimous decision defeat. Headlining UFC Fight Night Singapore in her return to Bantamweight, Jackson-Wink MMA star Holm faced the aggressive Brazilian Bethe 'Pitbull' Correira. Holm's rebirth at 135lb also gave a rebirth to the 'Ronda Rousey head kick' according to former UFC Welterweight contender Dan Hardy, as Holm flat-lined Bethe in the third round with a beautifully executed left high kick. Holm presents the most complete striking that could possibly trouble 'Cyborg' in the UFC today, and after recovering from a disappointing defeat in eye catching style, why not match them up.

Megan Anderson meeting: The title fight that was originally booked to appear on UFC 214, surly promised more of a balanced contest than the one we got, as 'Cyborg' was set to meet current Invicta FC Featherweight champ Megan Anderson for the vacant 145lbs gold. Anderson offers brutal knockouts with her 'art of eight limbs' Muay Thai background which has seen her score multiple knockout victories via kicks, knees and punches, overcoming the likes of Charmaine Tweet, Amanda Bell and Peggy Morgan over the last 18 months. The Queensland native's personal reasons for pulling from the contest were undisclosed and in my opinion, we missed a striking affair for the ages, so lets match them up again!

Amanda Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko II winner: Despite Nunes' reluctance to face compatriot 'Cyborg', the pull of being called a two weight world champ simultaneously may be too much to prevent either striker from facing Justino. Nunes has really asserted himself as a force to be reckoned with since her quest for UFC gold came to fruition, submitting Miesha Tate before smashing Ronda Rousey on the feet to defend her title in a literally staggering 48 seconds. Valentina Shevchenko on the other hand is one of the most feared Muay Thai practitioners in the UFC today, recovering from her decision loss to Nunes with her own decision victory over the aforementioned Holly Holm, before earning a Bantamweight title shot with a surprising armbar win over Julianna Pena.
