Exciting match up at Bantamweight.

The UFC matchmakers are keen on booking a Bantamweight title eliminator between two top contenders for UFC 238 on June 8th. Grappling phenoms Pedro Munhoz and Aljamain Sterling are expected to square off in Chicago, in an already stacked pay-per-view card.

Both men were overlooked by UFC brass in favour of Flyweight title holder Henry Cejudo, as he looks to claim 'champ champ' status against Marlon Moraes in the vacant title main event clash. Brazil's Munhoz managed his biggest career win to date in his last Octagon walk, finishing former champion Cody Garbrandt via strikes after an incredible slugfest in the opening round of their UFC 235 match up.

Eager to rematch Marlon Moraes after his unfortunate knockout loss, Aljamian 'Funk Master' Sterling fought to a three round unanimous decision win over Jimmie Rivera in February, to extend his win streak to three. The Bantamweight division is starting to take some shape once again, after T.J. Dillashaw was flagged for an "adverse finding" in an in competition test issued by USADA, and subsequently relinquished the crown.

UFC 238 takes place from the United Centre in Chicago, Illinois on June 8th. with another title fight booked. Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko defends her throne for the premier time against the recently resurgent Jessica 'Evil' Eye. Two more likely title contender clashes take place in the Strawweight and Flyweight division, as Tatiana Suarez meets Nina Ansaroff, and Katlyn Chookagian and Scotland's Joanne Calderwood throw down. Former Featherweight title challenger Ricardo Lamas also makes his return, meeting the surging Calvin Kattar.
