Huge Heavyweight meeting rumored for UFC 241.

Ahead of his appearance at WWE's Wrestlemania 35 event tomorrow night, UFC brass is already planning on the return of former UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. A clash with current division best Daniel 'DC' Cormier is projected to land on this summer's UFC 241 card.

The Seed

The one-time champion last appeared at 2016's UFC 200 in a unanimous decision victory over the heavy-hitting Mark Hunt, before a return to professional wrestling. A failed USADA test just weeks later resulted in a suspension, ruling out an immediate title tilt. Cormier, on the other hand, scored his first title defense against Derrick Lewis in his most recent Octagon walk. Lesnar confronted AKA staple, Cormier, after he achieved 'champ champ' status against Stipe Miocic, planting the seed for a later clash. Lafayette native Cormier has switched his full attention to Heavyweight since claiming the title in 2018. Former foe Jon Jones faced Alexander Gustaffson at UFC 232 claiming the title once again after Cormier relinquished. An August date with Cormier would mark Lesnar's first mixed-martial arts match since June 2016.
