Massive news for the Denver striker.

Former UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw has been issued a two-year retroactive suspension from United States anti-doping agency USADA. Denver star Dillashaw failed an in-competition drug test stemming from his January 19th. clash with flyweight champion Henry 'The Messenger' Cejudo.

It was revealed on Tuesday evening that the Bany Muay Thai striker had tested positive for the banned substance EPO (Erythropoietin) in a urine sample before his failed attempt to claim the championship from Olympian gold medalist Cejudo. EPO aids in endurance and the stimulation of red blood cells in bone marrow, and is a form of blood doping. Dillashaw was initially handed a one-year retroactive suspension by the New York State Athletic Commission when he took to Instagram to inform fans of an "adverse finding" in a pre-fight drug test. T.J. voluntarily relinquished his title upon the announcement leaving the title vacant. Former foe Cejudo will now meet perennial contender Marlon Moraes in the headliner of UFC 238 on June 8th for the bantamweight crown. Dillashaw has accepted his suspension.
