More Plates More Dates host, Derek has claimed that former two-time UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones was displaying urinary testosterone levels which resembled that of a "female" ahead of his eventual official 'No Contest' rematch with Daniel Cormier back in July 2017.

The MPMD founder recently appeared during a podcast episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan, where he attempted to explain the urinary testosterone levels displayed by Jones during his UFC 214 rematch with former undisputed heavyweight and light heavyweight kingpin, Cormier.

"There's a variety of different things that could be happening but ultimately for him (Jon Jones), he got it in his system, and on paper when you look at his testosterone and epitestosterone when he fought 'DC' (Daniel Cormier), they were so out of whack that it would not be explainable, in my opinion, by anything other than some sort of suppression of your system via the usage of something," Derek told Rogan. "Suppression to the degree where he is literally like a female, probably not. Normally the levels would be over 10 times what he had in general. He was in the single digits for urinary testosterone which otherwise should be like 60+ or something. He was like 4 or something."

Jones would originally reclaim his light heavyweight title against Cormier courtesy of a third round high-kick knockout, until he tested positive for a turinabol metabolite in his pre-fight test sample, resulting in the overturning of the bout to an official 'No Contest'. Jones was stripped of the light heavyweight title for a third time in his UFC tenure as a result.

Jones eventually returned from a 15-month retroactive suspension against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232 the following year, however, an ultra-trace level, or picogram of the banned substance, turinabol was once again found in Jones' pre-fight drug test sample -- which was ultimately chalked up to a "pulsing-effect" of the metabolite.

Following the latest test-result debacle, the entire pay-per-view event was moved from its original site at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada -- to The Forum in Inglewood, California -- after the NSAC was unable to grant Jones a license to compete in the state before an investigation into his latest flagging could be investigated.

Past-foe of Jones, light heavyweight contender, Anthony Smith also alleged that the Nevada State Atheltic Commission had informed him that throughout fight week for his UFC 235 title clash with Jones, that the Rochester native had been failing his pre-fight drug tests.

"He (Jon Jones) does this well, he does that well, he was suspended for this, but I never get into his drug test bullsh*t," Smith said. "I never even told anyone, Jon (Jones) failed every drug test the entire week leading up to our fight. Every single drug test. I never brought it up one time in any interview, in any media thing, nothing. The commission (Nevada State Athletic Commission) called me every day to let me know he was still failing his drug tests. I never said anything, I let it be because I was just focused on myself and always believed that if you just focus on yourself you're going to be that much more successful."

Jones, who is yet to compete professionally since February of last year at UFC 247, is expected to appear in court on January 31. next, after prosecutors were granted additional time recently in order to file criminal charges against the 34-year-old following an alleged battery domestic violence assault against his fiancée, Jessie Moses, and alleged tampering or injuring a vehicle in relation to a September 24. last, Las Vegas arrest.
