A lightweight showdown between recent vacant title challenger, Peter ‘The Showstopper’ Queally, and British veteran, Kane ‘The Danger’ Mousah has been booked to take co-headlining honors at Bellator Dublin on February 25. from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.
Making his return for the first time since headlining the promotion’s most recent visit to the capital back in November in a vacant lightweight title challenge against Patricky Freire, Waterford native, Queally attempts to rebound from his second round knockout loss to the Brazilian.
For 35-year-old Manchester-based lightweight, Mousah, the veteran is also looking to return to the winner’s enclosure in his outing against Queally, following a unanimous decision defeat to Davy Gallon at Bellator 267 back in October. Queally announced his pairing with Mousah during an appearance on Ireland AM with SBG head coach, John Kavanagh.
13-6-1 as a professional, Waterford standout, Queally had enjoyed a previous victory over the aforenoted, Freire earlier this year, forcing a second round doctor’s stoppage against the Brazilain back at Bellator 258 in May after landing a series of slashing elbows from the bottom during a grappling scenario.
The win came as Queally’s second under the promotion’s banner, and earned him a title fight against the elder Pitbull brother on home soil last month.
2-2 during his tenure under the Scott Coker-led banner, Queally suffered a close, split decision loss to former teammate, Myles Price at Bellator 217 in 2019, before scoring his first promotional win in September of that year in a stunning rallying effort against Ryan Scope.
The Fight Nights Global alum holds other notable career wins against the likes of David Khachatryan, Igor Egorov, Decky Dalton, Nathan Jones, Roberto Rigamonti, and Tomasz Jakubic.
13-4 as a professional, ACB and BAMMA veteran, Mousah also boasts a 2-2 promotional record from four fights under the Bellator banner.
Before his previously noted loss to Gallon, Mousah had defeated Allessandro Botti, and Mateusz Piskorz, in between a split decision defeat to Rafael Macedo. Mousah holds a victory over common-foe, Price, as well as other wins against the likes of Lewis Monarch, and Alex Enlund.
Bellator Dublin is scheduled to take place on February 25. from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland – with an undisputed middleweight championship matchup between reigning champion, Gegard Mousasi, and the undefeated, 11-0 contender, Austin Vanderford slated to take main event status in the promotion’s return.
