Robbie Lawler and Rafael Dos Anjos headline UFC Winnipeg:

Expect fireworks.
A truly incredible Welterweight title eliminator headlines UFC Fight Night Winnipeg this December, as two former UFC gold holders 'Ruthless' Robbie Lawler and Rafael Dos Anjos go to war in a certain barnburner. Former Welterweight boogeyman Lawler, returns to winning ways against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone last time out after his title loss to Tyron Woodley, while recent Welterweight riser Rafael Dos Anjos has picked up two successive victories since his jump from Lightweight title defeat to Eddie Alvarez.

Lawler, still considered by many as the best Welterweight in the world, claimed the Welterweight crown back in 2014, narrowing beating Johny Hendricks, before defending against Rory MacDonald and even closer than his decision win over Hendricks, picked up a razor thin win over Carlos Condit. When faced with powerhouse Tyron Woodley, the first real hammer dropped by 'The Chosen One' slept the Californian in under 3 minutes. A naturally gifted boxer with some really sound technique, Lawler has faced some real elite fighters in his career, including the aforementioned and Nick Diaz, 'Babalu', Jake Shields, Josh Koscheck, Matt Brown and hard hitter Melvin Manhoef.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and all rounded Dos Anjos, has really adapted to 170lbs in spectacular fashion, dispatching Neil Magny with ease in his most recent octagon walk, stopping the American with a slick arm triangle. Defeating Lightweight standouts Nate Diaz, Benson Henderson, Anthony Pettis and 'Cowboy' Cerrone during his Lightweight tenure, Dos Anjos was dramatically stopped by Philly favourite Eddie 'The Underground King in the first round of their title meeting, with Alvarez subsequently falling victim to Conor McGregor, a one time scheduled opponent for RDA.
