Tony Ferguson locks a triangle to claim Interim title against Kevin Lee:

Slick grappling from 'El Cucuy' gets him gold.
Our main event sees a mouth watering Interim Lightweight title clash between two of the biggest personalities and talents at 155lbs, as #2 ranked grappling sensation Tony 'El Cucuy' faces the brash and confident Kevin Lee. A shot at Undisputed kingpin Conor McGregor more than likely awaits the victor of this one with a true contender for the Irishman surely established. Veteran referee Herb Dean was handed this assignment between two bitter enemies.

The opening round of this exciting clash got underway with no touch of gloves between Ferguson and Lee with the latter trying his luck with a high kick early on. A decent right hand scored well for Kevin Lee early on as Tony looked to loosen up before Lee cracked him with a left hand and on the front foot got caught himself by the wily 'El Cucuy'. A bodylock initially seemed effective for Lee but he almost wound up in a Triangle but defended brilliantly. Winding up in full mount Ferguson ate some massive ground and pound from Lee but managed to survive at the buzzer, although despite the break from |Herb Dean, Kevin landed a shot after the the round end, much to the disgust of Dean.

The second round of this so far impressive matchup seen an even looser Tony Ferguson who tried with a front kick to the body of Kevin Lee. Continuing to push the pace, Tony landed a good jab-straight combination taunting Lee after every shot. The first of the slashing elbows of Ferguson landed for Tony as Lee moved in and just ate the end of the shot. Second round to Ferguson no doubt but still some shots after the buzzer this time appearing to come from 'El Cucuy'.

A huge takedown for Lee opened up the third round as the normally cardio sound Kevin Lee looked majorly fatigued. Back to the feet Ferguson looked incredibly confident and began pushing the pace forcing Lee to fight with his back off the cage. A second important takedown landed fro Lee who nearly fell to the same fate as Ray Borg but managed to step over and avoid an armbar loss, with Tony starting to attack for a triangle, remaining calm and composed, forced the tap from Kevin Lee.
Conor McGregor vs. Tony Ferguson, sounds good.
