Report - Nina Ansaroff vs. Mackenzie Dern Targeted For UFC Event On April 10th.

A strawweight matchup between the would-be returning, Nina 'The Strina' Ansaroff and talented Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu player, Mackenzie Dern is currently in the works for a UFC event on April 10th. -- with a location, venue, or billing for the card yet to be determined by the organization.

In what would mark her Octagon return, Florida native, Ansaroff hasn't featured in the Octagon since UFC 238 in June of last year where she dropped a unanimous decision defeat to surging grappler, Tatiana Suarez. In her time out of the Octagon, Ansaroff, along with her partner, two-weight world champion, Amanda 'The Lioness' Nunes welcomed the birth of their daughter, Raegan in September.

Now under the tutelage of renowned striking coach, Jason Parillo at Evolve MMA, Dern last made the walk at UFC 255 just two-weeks ago, landing a career standout win over former Invicta FC titleholder and fellow grappling maestro, Virna Jandiroba. The victory came as Dern's third of 2020. News of the targeted tie was first reported by ESPN MMA reporter, Brett Okamoto

A seven-fight Octagon veteran, 35-year-old Sunshine State-born contender, Ansaroff seen her eye-catching four-fight rise halted by The Ultimate Fighter 23 victor, Suarez last summer. Scoring four statement wins before that, Ansaroff had knocked back one-time title challenger, Claudia Gadelha, and common-foe, Randa Markos to go with a pair of wins over Angela Hill, and Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger.

Three-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Cup and ADCC World Championship victor, Dern has blasted her way toward title contention in 2020 following her first promotional defeat in August of last year, Rebounding from a unanimous decision loss to fellow talent, Amanda Ribas, Dern bested Hannah Cifers with a quickfire kneebar, before laying waste to the above-mentioned, Markos with an armbar four months later. Her victory over Jandiroba recently, came as her fifth Octagon triumph.
