Mané to Merseyside

Southampton look to have lost another one of their better performers to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool in the form of Senegalese forward Sadio Mané. On Monday, it was revealed that the Saints had accepted a fee of £34 million as the former Red Bull Salzburg forward looks to become Liverpool's most expensive signing, overtaking Belgium striker Christian Benteke and Andy Carroll. Mané enjoyed a successful season at St. Mary's as he contributed 15 goals in all competitions to help Southampton finish 6th in the Premier League. Mané looks to join former Saints Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana at Anfield. The signing of Mané outlines the season expectation in which Klopp looks to guide his squad to at least a top 4 finish with the help of this pacey, goal getting forward. The free signing of Schalke defender Joel Matip looks to provide Liverpool with that bite at the back needed with the likely departure of Martin Skrtel to Turkish side Fenerbache.
