The worst 'stars' of Euro 2016

The whole England squad could be up for nomination for this XI but to be fair other players deserve a place as well.

Formation: 4-4-2

Joe Hart: Arguably the 'best' 'worst' goalkeeper at the European Championships, the Man City shot stopper did everything but stop shots, particularly against Wales when faced against a Gareth Bale free kick, as he completely forgot about footwork and could only guide the ball into the corner of his own net. Then against Iceland, preformed his best Massimo Taibi impression and let the ball slide past him to give Iceland a historical win and knock his side out of the Euros.

Gokhan Gonul: This Fenerbache full back played in a Turkish side who were trashed 3-0 by Spain as they were denied a place in the last 16 by the Republic of Ireland.

Aleksander Dragovic: One of the most sought after central defenders in Europe, looks like he will continue to play football at Dynamo Kiev after an uninspiring tournament which seen him, see red for Austria as their tournament ended and the so called 'dark horses' crashed out with a mere point in Group F. Arsene Wenger look away.

Lorik Cana: The former Sunderland and Marseille anchor man, couldn't captain his Albania side as they faled to reach the last 16.

David Alaba: This Bayern Munich maestro had a poor tournament as he was hotly tipped to have a successful time with his Austrian side. Aleksander Dragovic also featured in this side of under achievers

James McCarthy: Everton's tough tackling midfielder looked overcome by the enormous stage and faltered in a stellar midfield featuring Robbie Brady and Derby County's Jeff Hendrick.

Glenn Whelan: Poor performances seen him dropped and replaced by James McClean in midfield, most likely his last tournament.

Raheem Sterling: Lacking an end product during the group stage ties and failed to warrant a start against Iceland in the last 16 exit.

Andriy Yarmolenko: Tracked by Liverpool and Tottenham in recent windows, his performance in a poor Ukraine side fails to warrant his big price tag.

Harry Kane: Probably the worst player of the tournament, who many fancied to win the golden boot award, hard feat to achieve when your coach has you taking corners. Played all 4 games for the Three Lions, failed to contribute.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: If the rumours are to be believed, this man will be in Manchester soon, José Mourinho will be hoping for a different man that showed up in France with his only contribution against Ireland as Ciaran Clark had to convert for the Swedes.
