Cris Cyborg vs. Amanda Nunes eyed by UFC brass Dana White:

The Brazilian champs are set to clash!
Reigning UFC Featherweight champion Cris Cyborg is being lined up for an all Brazilian meeting with current Bantamweight queen Amanda Nunes by UFC President Dana White. Cyborg of course headlined the year ending UFC 219 card against striking ace Holly Holm, successfully defending her title, while compatriot Amanda Nunes added to her shocking KO of Ronda Rousey, with a second title defense alongside two time foe Valentina Shevchenko.

Originally claiming the crowd in a vacant tile bout against promotion newcomer Tonya Evinger, the feared Brazilian kept her composure and exacted a clever gameplan from the mind of the expert Jason Parillo, to overcome counter striker Holm. Many believed the next logical match up for Cyborg would be Aussie striker Megan Anderson, but visa issues have so far, prevented the former Invicta FC champ from making her octagon bow.  The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert recently commented on her willingness to allow the #1 contender at 145lbs the next opportunity at gold, strange considering the division isn't regarded to be as solid or reputable as the rest, and is much more flexible than others with Bantamweight challengers coming and going.

Bahia native Nunes, is a hugely talented boxer, evident from her picking apart of Ronda Rousey, after a similar display against then champ Miesha Tate, setting up an eventual rear-naked choke title sealing victory. The 29 year-old interestingly has competed at 145lbs before, in her first 7 MMA matches, moving to her current Bantamweight home after a devastating stoppage over Julia Budd back in the now defunct StrikeForce promotion. Nunes has seemingly taken an entirely different outlook on the potential meeting with her fellow Brazilian, eager for the match up to take place, claiming it's an attractive fight for the fans, and of course, it would present 'The Lioness' to become a multiple divison champion simultaneousy.
