Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar re-booked for March's UFC 222:
Will we finally see Holloway vs. Edgar in March? |
One of the slickest boxers in MMA today, the smooth and fluid Max Holloway recently earned the fighter of the year award of 2017, as a direct result of two consecutive stoppage wins over the aforementioned Aldo, extending his undefeated streak to 12 back at the Little Caesars Arena, with his last defeat coming way back in 2013 at the hands of current UFC Lightweight champion, 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor.
A 155lbs champ, Frankie Edgar will most certainly be afforded a place in the UFC Hall of Fame when his storied career eventually dwindles down. With career highlight wins over the likes of B.J. Penn, Gray Maynard, Urijah Faber, Chad Mendes and Cub Swanson throughout a 13 year career, Edgar will undoubtedly go down as one of mixed-martial arts greatest talents and pioneers. An established NCAA Division I wrestler, Edgar often utilizes his superior wrestling and grappling to set up finishes over 'El Pantera' Rodríguez and a spectacular neck crank stoppage over 'Killer' Cub Swanson.
Interesting stylistic match up.
