Report - Alexander Hernandez vs. Thiago Moises Slated For UFC Event On February 27th.

A lightweight matchup between Alexander 'The Great' Hernandez and Thiago Moises has been added to the UFC's Fight Night event on February 27th. -- with the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada expected to host the showcase.

Returning to winning ways in his most recent Octagon appearance, St. Louis born puncher, Hernandez stopped TUF alum, Chris Gruetzemacher at UFC Vegas 12 on Halloween via strikes inside the opening two minutes of the first round. 

American Top Team grappling talent, Moises has won his last two consecutively, besting longtime lightweight contender, 'King' Bobby Green on the same card as Hernandez's knockout victory over Gruetzemacher. News of the 155-pound pairing was first penned by MMA Junkie reporters, Nolan King and Mike Bohn

2-2 in his last four Octagon appearances, 28-year-old Factory X mover, entered the UFC with an 8-1 record back in March of 2018.

Debuting against Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu standout, Beneil Dariush, Hernandez scored an opening-round knockout win before besting Olivier Aubin-Mercier with a unanimous judging performance.

Catapulted into a UFC Fight Night Brooklyn pairing with future Hall of Fame inductee, Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone, Hernandez lost via a second-round high-kick followed by strikes stoppage. 

Briefly rebounding with a unanimous decision win over the steely, Francisco Trinaldo, Hernandez then dropped a UFC Fight Night Jacksonville knockout to the surging Drew Dober back in May last. 

A product of Dana White's Contender Series back in August of 2018 -- Sao Paulo grappler, Moises has so far amassed a 3-2 promotional résumé -- dropping defeats to common-foe, Dariush, as well as Damir Ismagulov. 

In his three Octagon wins, Moises has bested Kurt Holobaugh, former top-ten lightweight contender, Michael 'The Menace' Johnson via an eye-catching achilles lock, before his decision triumph over Green in October.

The UFC Fight Night event on February 27th. is slated to feature a headlining bout of light heavyweight strikers, two-time title challenger, Dominick 'The Devastator' Reyes, and former RIZIN FF champion, Jiri 'Denisa' Prochazka.
