A massive heavyweight pairing between knockout ace, Jairzinho 'Bigi Boy' Rozenstruik and streaking contender, Ciryl 'Bon Gamin' Gane is slated to feature at a UFC Fight Night event on March 13th. -- with a location or venue for the event yet to be determined by the organization.
Also battling with the Brazilian in his last outing, French prospect, Gane managed a second-round knockout over the veteran striker, finishing dos Santos with a wicked elbow by the fence despite claims of an illegal shot from the latter. The victory improved Gane's professional record to 7-0. News of the exciting heavyweight clash was first reported by French outlet, La Sueur.
Snapping a ten-fight undefeated run, Rozenstruik had bested former world champions, Alistair Overeem, and Andrei Arlovski -- both in spectacular fashion. Scoring a buzzer-beating stoppage of decorated striker, Overeem, Rozenstruik rallied in the closing seconds of a main event he was losing on all three judge's scorecards to finish the Dutch veteran.
Returning to the win column following his first career defeat in May last, Suriname kickboxer, Rozenstruik managed a UFC 252 knockout win of his own over former division champion, Junior 'Cigano' dos Santos at the August event.
