An intriguing heavyweight matchup between former division champion, Andrei 'The Pitbull' Arlovski and incoming prospect, former Cage Warriors feature, Tom Aspinall has been booked for a UFC Fight Night 185 event on February 20 -- with a location or venue for the event yet to be determined by the promotion as of writing.

In the midst of a career resurgence, Belarussian veteran, Arlovski is unbeaten in his last two on the trot, knocking back both Philipe Lins and Canadian standout, Tanner Boser over the course of last year.

Debuting in the promotion at UFC Fight Island 3 in July alongside fellow Team Kaobon Liverpool mainstay, Darren 'The Gorilla' Till, Wigan native Aspinall got off the mark in the UFC with a first-round knockout win over Jake Collier. The UFC announced the matchup on their official social media this afternoon.

Arlovski, 41, is a former undisputed UFC heavyweight titleholder, claiming the interim crown at UFC 51 against Tim Sylvia before he was promoted to the undisputed kingpin ahead of successful knockbacks against Justin Eilers, and Paul Buentello.

An incredible fifty-one fight professional veteran, Arlovski has competed across multiple promotions such as Strikeforce, ONE Championship, Elite XC, and Affliction to name a few, scoring an overall 30-19 record. From an eye-catching seventeen knockout wins, Arlovski has stopped the likes of Vladimir Matyushenko, Ben Rothwell, Roy Nelson, Antonio Silva, and, Travis Browne to name a few.

From eleven professional outings, 27-year-old finisher, Aspinall has notched a 9-2 résumé, scoring two wins in Graham Boylan's Cage Warriors promotion prior to his move to the UFC in July. Riding a five-fight winning run, Aspinall returned to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE in October for UFC Fight Island 5 in where he made it two wins in two, both in the opening frame with a stoppage of Alan Baudot less than two minutes into the fight.

UFC Fight Night 185 takes place on February 20 with the promotion still yet to nail down a location or venue for the showcase. Taking main event honours is a heavyweight rescheduling between top-five contenders, Curtis 'Razor' Blaydes and Derrick 'The Black Beast' Lewis as the two attempt to eek their way to the heavyweight title picture.
