Bellator MMA bantamweight contender, James 'The Strabanimal' Gallagher has shared his thoughts on the weight-cut mishap from Friday's opponent, the #3 ranked, Patchy 'No Love' Mix -- claiming the New York native has a weak mind and is already beaten ahead of Bellator 270.

Touching down in Dublin last week ahead of his Bellator 270 co-headlining slot against one-time title challenger Mix, Strabane native, Gallagher now permanently plys his trade under the tutelage of the renowned James Krause at Glory MMA & Fitness in Missouri, and is planning a permanent move to the United States, as he and his partner, Victoria Gracie expect the birth of their first child next year.

Undefeated in his last four consecutive Bellator appearances, 25-year-old grappling expert, Gallagher last featured in the main event of Bellator Euro Series 9 in October of last year -- stopping Cal Ellenor in the opening round of their Milan, Italy headliner with a one-sided rear-naked choke.

For Mix, the recent Xtreme Couture mover returned to the winner's enclosure following the first defeat of his professional career back in May at Bellator 258 -- stopping Albert Morales with a third round arm-triangle, as the latter replaced Gallagher in a shelved pairing. In his sole professional loss, Mix dropped a unanimous decision loss to former bantamweight titleholder, Juan Archuleta at Bellator 246 in September of last year.

Appearing at the official weigh-ins this Thursday morning at the Gibson Hotel in Dublin, Ireland -- Gallagher successfully made the bantamweight limit of 136lbs for his co-headlining clash with Mix, however, the Angola, New York native required the towel upon his first step to the scale -- tipping in over the limit at 137.8lbs -- 1.8lbs above the sanctioned limit.

Reacting to Mix's weight-miss on his official Twitter account, Gallagher briefly claimed that his opponent's mind was weak as well as insisting he was already beaten, "He's [Patchy Mix] already beat," Gallagher tweeted. "His mind is weak."

Taking main event status at Bellator 270 tomorrow night at the 3Arena is a vacant lightweight title fight between Patricky 'Pitbull' Freire and Waterford native, Peter 'The Showstopper' Queally as the two clash for the second time this year.
