Luke Rockhold vs. Chris Weidman II expected for UFC 230:

Can Chris Weidman exact revenge on the man who took his title?

The current state of affairs in the UFC Middleweight division are on the cusp of a major shuffle come November, as UFC 230 will not only see a clash between Jacaré Souza and former WSOF phenom David Branch, but also, first reported by ESPN's Brett Okamoto, a mouth watering rematch between former title holders Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman, who will lock horns once more after their UFC 194 title tilt.

Former Strikeforce ace Rockhold was expected to make a move to a probable more comfortable 205lbs after his devastating knockout defeat to Olympian Yoel Romero, but after a match up with Alexander Gustafssson failed to come to fruition, the AKA product has decieded to remain at his old stomping ground as he finally meets long time foe Chris Weidman again.

Rightfully feeling hard done by in his quest to reclaim the Middleweight crown, 'The All American' was overlooked by the promotion match makers in favour of a Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum clash and Ultimate Fighter season, despite Chris submitting the fast rising Gastelum in his most recent Octagon walk.

Weidman looked to defend his title for a  fourth time when he met Rockhold back in December of 2015, not only losing his title but his undefeated professional record in the process. An abundance of body kicks from Rockhold and a miscued wheel kick attempt from Chris ultimately seen him taken down where he was worn down before eventually being stopped by strikes at the hands of the Californian.

UFC 230 takes place on November 3rd at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
