Originally slated to take co-main event status, the light heavyweight pairing of Devin 'Brown Bear' Clark and one-time title chaser, Anthony 'Lionheart' Smith has been promoted to the main event of UFC Vegas 15 tomorrow night, in a reworked five-round affair.

Clark and Smith headline the UFC Apex facility showcase tomorrow night following the fallout of its original main event between heavyweight bruisers, Curtis 'Razor' Blaydes, and Derrick 'The Black Beast' Lewis, after the former had returned a positive test for the novel coronavirus. News of the reworked main event was first penned by MMA Junkie reporters, Nolan King and John Morgan

For Smith, he's presented with another main event tilt on short-notice for the second fight running, following his pairing with Aleksandar Rakic at UFC Vegas 8 in August, where he suffered a unanimous decision defeat to the punishing Austrian born contender.

Sioux Falls native, Clark has won his last two consecutively, knocking back the explosive Alonzo Menifield at UFC 250 in June, and features in his first organizational main event tomorrow night, albeit on short notice. His unanimous judging win over Menifield followed another decision victory win over Dequan Townsend at UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho in February.

While Clark and Smith now take main event status, the above-noted heavyweight pairing of Elevation Fight Team wrestler, Blaydes and knockout ace, Lewis is tentatively targeted for a reworking at a UFC event in December, with the promotion currently working on agreeing terms with both parties.
