Report: Katlyn Chookagian vs. Cynthia Calvillo Added To UFC 255 on November 21st.

One time UFC flyweight title challenger, Katlyn 'Blonde Fighter' Chookagian returns to the Octagon in search of her second success of 2020, as she draws recent division debutante, the #4 ranked contender, Cynthia Calvillo who makes the Octagon walk for the second time this year. 

Featuring at UFC 255 on November 21st. from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada - Chookagian and Calvillo share the event with flyweight titleholder, Valentina 'Bullet' Shevchenko, and challenger, Jennifer Maia. 

Hoping to return to winning ways, Chookagian recently featured at UFC Fight Island 6 in October, dropping a first-round knockout loss to former strawweight champion, division newcomer, Jéssica 'Bate Estaca' Andrade.

Headlining UFC Vegas 2 in June opposite one-time flyweight championship challenger, Jessica 'Evil' Eye, San Jose, California native, Calvillo landed at 125-pounds with a unanimous decision victory. News of the eye-catching pairing was initially reported by ESPN MMA reporter, Brett Okamoto

Renzo Gracie Combat Team mainstay, Chookagian made her premier Octagon appearance since her title challenge loss to the above mentioned Shevchenko in February, as she tackled the champion's older sister, Antonina Shevchenko at UFC Vegas in May. Scoring a unanimous decision win, Chookagian then faced the aforenoted, Andrade on 'Fight Island'.

Recent American Kickboxing Academy mover, Calvillo is undefeated in her last four, with her judging win over Eye enough to earn her a top-five rank in the flyweight stack. 

Adding the Ohio native to a notable run, the 33-year-old Calvillo managed to score prior victories over Poliana Botelho and Cortney Casey, before a majority draw against Brazilian striker, Marina Rodriguez. In her sole promotional and professional loss, Calvillo dropped a UFC 219 unanimous decision blemish to inaugural Invicta FC and UFC 115-pound best, Carla 'Cookie Monster' Esparza.
