Report - Invicta FC Set For Move Away From Streaming Platform UFC Fight Pass

Shannon Knapp led promotion, Invicta FC is set for a move away from longtime streaming home, UFC Fight Pass, ending an almost seven-year stay under the Zuffa LLC banner.

Partnering with UFC Fight Pass back in 2014 beginning with their event Invicta FC 8, the two are set to cut ties, with multiple sources close to Fight Bananas detailing how they have been informed that they will no longer feature on UFC Fight Pass. 

Launching back in 2012 following the UFC's acquisition of the now-defunct, Strikeforce promotion -- the above mentioned Knapp and Janet Martin founded the organization -- solely featuring female mixed martial arts contests.

Viewed as a feeder league for the UFC -- Invicta has produced the likes of Cris Cyborg, Megan Anderson, Felicia Spencer, Lauren Murphy, Yana Kunitskaya, Jennifer Maia, Carla Esparza, Angela Hill, Michelle Waterson, and Rose Namajunas to name a few. 

Current undisputed UFC bantamweight and featherweight championship holder, Amanda 'The Lioness' Nunes is a current matchmaker for the promotion, as well as UFC alum and sport pioneer, Julie 'Fireball' Kedzie. 

According to multiple sources, the promotion is set to air fights on their official YouTube channel as they begin to search for another streaming platform. 

Holding the bulk load of their events in Kansas City, Missouri -- the promotion last featured an event in November at the Police Athletic League -- where PFL standout, two-time Olympic gold medalist, Kayla Harrison scored a one-sided ground-and-pound victory over Courtney King. 

Scheduled to clash for the vacant flyweight championship in the event's headliner, the matchup of Pearl Gonzalez and Erin Blanchfield postponed amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
