An exciting lightweight matchup between promotional mainstay, Scott 'Hot Sauce' Holtzman and recent organizational newcomer, Mateusz 'Gamer' Gamrot has been added to a UFC Fight Night 188 event on April 10th. -- with a location or venue for the card yet to be determined by the promotion.

Attempting to rebound from the snapping of his two-fight rise at the hands of the surging Beneil Dariush at UFC Vegas 6 last August, Holtzman suffered a brutal first round spinning-back fist knockout loss in a 158-pound catchweight matchup after Dariush tipped the scales.

Dropping his first professional defeat in his UFC debut at UFC Fight Island 6 in October, Gamrot fell to a hugely-competitive split decision loss to Georgian standout, Guram Kutateladze over three rounds. Gamrot had won his prior seventeen professional fights consecutively before the loss. News of the eye-catching matchup was first reported by CohonesMMA reporter, Kuba Voranek

37-year-old Knoxville native, Holtzman debuted in the UFC on home soil in Tennesse back in August of 2015 -- besting Anthony Christodoulou via a third round rear-naked choke.

Establishing a 7-4 promotional résumé -- the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt has notched two submission wins, but has laid waste to five opponents via his underrated striking. The former XFC lightweight champion has dispatched the likes of Cody Pfister, Darrell Horcher, Alan Patrick, Dong Hyun Ma, and division veteran, Jim Miller during his UFC run.

Polish favourite, Gamrot linked up with the UFC on a multi-fight deal last year -- having achieved monumental success under the KSW banner, where he was a two-weight world champion -- claiming both lightweight and featherweight gold.

Most notably maybe, Gamrot was involved in a trio of clashes with UFC lightweight alum, Bushmills native Norman Parke -- scoring a decision win and a doctor's stoppage finish over the Northern Irelander, in between an eventual no contest ruling at KSW 40 in Dublin back in October of 2017 after Gamrot landed a series of fouls -- the last of which, an inadvertent eye poke on Parke according to referee, Marc Goddard.

17-1 as a professional, the Poznan native has managed eight separate stoppage wins over the course of his nine-year professional career.

UFC Fight Night 188 takes place on April 10th. -- with a middleweight main event between former welterweight title challenger, Darren Till and surging Italian standout, Marvin Vettori slated to take main event honours.
