Julija Stoliarenko Collapses Twice At UFC Vegas 22 Weigh-In, Matchup With Julia Avila Shelved

UFC bantamweight, Julija Stoliarenko collapsed twice today at the official UFC Vegas 22 weigh-ins, ahead of her scheduled matchup with Julia Avila tomorrow night at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a result, her bout with Avila has been removed from proceedings. 

Stoliarenko, a former undisputed Invicta FC bantamweight titleholder arrived in the promotion an UFC Vegas 6 in August against former Invicta FC champion and one-time UFC featherweight title challenger, Yana Kunitskaya -- dropping a unanimous decision loss.

Stepping on the scales for tomorrow night's clash with Avila, Stoliarenko posed as the commissioner attempted to verify her weight, before she stumbled off the scale, falling into the hoarding behind the raised platform.

In the series of videos, below, medical personnel attends to Stoliarenko, with the Lithuanian eventually returning to her feet, and to the scales for a second time, hitting the bantamweight mark at 135.5-pounds. Posing for awaiting media members and photographers, Stoliarenko stepped off the scale once more, before collapsing to the ground for the second time, with a gurney brought to the scale with Storliarenko placed upon before being transported from the facility. 



 


Per MMA Fighting reporter, Mike Heck, the matchup between Stoliarenko and the above mentioned, Avila has been cancelled amid the ongoing situation with the 27-year-old Kaunas native.

A fifteen-fight professional veteran, Stoliarenko has amassed a 9-4 resume, which includes an Invicta FC bantamweight triumph against Lisa Versoza via split decision, as well as a whopping eight stoppages via armbar from her nine professional triumphs. Stoliarenko featured at The Ultimate Fighter 28 finale back in November of 2018, dropping a split judging loss to Leah Letson.
