Current undisputed UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov recently met with former organizational CEO, Lorenzo Fertitta, where he quipped an infamous quote of his -- teasing a potential snapping on his October retirement.

Nurmagomedov, still billed as the promotion's lightweight champion and sat firmly atop the organization's pound-for-pound rankings, announced his retirement from professional mixed martial arts back in October of last year following UFC 254 -- where he unified the lightweight titles with a monumental triangle win over Justin Gaethje, improving his undefeated streak to twenty-nine straight fights.

Immediately announcing his intentions to hang up his gloves from active competition afterwards, Nurmagomedov cited a prior promise that he had made to his mother following the sad passing of his father and renowned sambo coach, Abdulmanap earlier that year, claiming he wouldn't make another professional walk without his father by his side.

In the months since the Dagestan native's retirement, UFC president, Dana White has transparently attempted to turn Nurmagomedov's hand on his retirement stance, detailing that as long as the 32-year-old doesn't tell him to stop asking him, or asks White to leave him alone -- he'll keep pursuing another Octagon outing from the lightweight pacesetter.

Infamously, Nurmagomedov and White were filmed in conversation at a UAE Warriors event in January, with White openly discussing the possible monetary numbers a rematch with Nurmagomedov and former two-weight champion, Conor McGregor could generate, with those plans ultimately scuppered following McGregor's second round knockout loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 on 'Fight Island'.

Posting a picture on his official Twitter account this morning, Nurmagomedov poses with former UFC CEO, and current Red Rock Resort Inc. director, Lorenzo Fertitta -- with the caption quipping; "It was good to see you Lorenzo (Fertitta) @danawhite send me location."

"Send me location" was infamously quipped by Nurmagomedov during the aftermath of the infamous bus attack perpatrated by the above mentioned, McGregor and co in Brooklyn, New York in the run up to UFC 223 in April of 2018, when McGregor and a number of associates stromed the loading bay of the Barclays Centre in search of Nurmagomedov, before the Dubliner launched a moving dolly through the vehicle's side window, following an earlier altercation between Nurmagomedov and McGregor's Straight Blast Gym teammate, Artem Lobov during fight week.
