Report - Montana De La Rosa vs. Ariane Lipski Added To UFC Fight Night 191 On June 5th.

A flyweight matchup between seven-fight UFC veteran, Montana De La Rosa and former KSW flyweight champion, Ariane Lipski has been booked for UFC Fight Night 191 on June 5th. -- with a location or venue for the matchup yet to be determined by the promotion.
Montana native, De La Rosa enters the affair off the back of a majority draw against Mayra Bueno Silva at UFC Vegas 20 in February.
Parana native, Lipski looks to rebound to the winner's enclosure following a high-profile second round ground-and-pound knockout loss to Antonina Shevchenko, the elder sister of current division pacesetter, Valentina, at UFC 255 in November. News of the bout was first reported by MMA Junkie reporters, Nolan King and Farah Hannoun.
Prominent grappling ace, De La Rosa has established a 4-2-1 promotional record since her organizational debut at The Ultimate Fighter 26 in December of 2017 where she managed a first round armbar win over Christina Marks.
Lodging two straight submission wins after that, the 26-year-old submitted both Rachael Ostovich and Nadia Kassem via rear-naked choke and another armbar, respectively. Dropping decision losses to both Andrea Lee and the streaking, Viviane Araujo -- De La Rosa's most recent Octagon win came opposite Mara Romero Borella at UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho in February of last year.
Curitiba standout, Lipski arrived in the UFC back in January of 2019, bringing a nine-fight undefeated streak with her to boot, having claimed the undisputed KSW flyweight title with an armbar win over Diana Belbita, before scoring successful title defences against both Mariana Morais, and Silvana Gomez Juarez.
Dropping a pair of unanimous decision defeats upon her move to the UFC, Lipski rebounded against Isabela de Padua and Luana Carolina following losses to Joanne Calderwood and Molly McCann. With a 13-6 professional record, Lipski holds six knockout wins, with a further three stoppages coming by way of submission.
Lodging a contender for Submission of the Year last annum, Lipski submitted the above-mentioned, Carolina with an opening round kneebar at UFC Fight Island 2 in July.
