An eye-catching middleweight meeting of Serbian upstart, Dusko 'Thunder' Todorovic and fellow Dana White's Contender Series alum, Maki 'Coconut Bombz' Pitolo has been booked for a UFC event on June 5th. -- with a location or venue for the matchup yet to be determined by the promotion.

Attempting to return to the winner's enclosure for the first time in his eleven-fight career, Todorovic dropped a first round knockout loss to Punahele Soriano at UFC on ABC 1 in January on 'Fight Island' -- snapping a ten-fight undefeated streak.

Hoping to prevent a fourth consecutive defeat, Honolulu native, Pitolo most recently suffered a third round anaconda loss to Julian Marquez at UFC 258 in February at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. News of the middleweight pairing was first reported by MMA Fighting reporters, Guilherme Cruz and Damon Martin

26-year-old puncher, Todorovic also earned his move to the UFC after a 2019 appearance on Dana White's Contender Series -- taking home a unanimous judging victory over Teddy Ash, moving to 8-0 as a professional in the process.

Following three failed pairings with promotional alum, John Philips for his UFC bow, Todorovic eventually drew Dequan Townsend; finishing the Michigan native with ground strikes prior to his sole professional defeat to the aforenoted, Soriano in January.

A twenty-one-fight professional veteran, Hawaiian striker, Pitolo looks to snap a career-worst three-fight skid when pitted opposite Todorovic on June 5th.

Featuring five times in the Octagon since his move back in October of 2019, Pitolo holds a 1-4 promotional resume, with his lone victory in that run coming against Charles Byrd at UFC 250 in June last year -- where he notched his seventh career knockout.

Before his submission defeat to Marquez, Pitolo suffered a unanimous decision loss to Impa Kasangany, after a UFC Vegas 6 guillotine blemish to Darren Stewart in August last.
