In a spectacular turn of events, the Bellator Dublin rematch between Peter 'The Showstopper' Queally and the #1 ranked contender, Patricky 'Pitbull' Freire now has an added bonus on November 5. at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.
Bellator MMA president, Scott Coker spoke with Ariel Helwani this evening on The MMA Hour -- confirming that Patricky's elder brother, Patricio Pitbull had vacated his undisputed lightweight championship, with the title vacant line the line between Queally and Freire in November, as the bout is also promoted to the event's headliner
"Honor and family come first," Freire tweeted. "When I first won the LW (lightweight) belt it was just about revenge. It was still an honor, but with the loss at 145(lbs) I'm starting over. It's time for the LW division to move on and for @PatrickyPitbull to have his shot. My focus is on A.J. (McKee) and him only."

the elder Frerie brother, who recently dropped the undisputed featherweight title in a Bellator MMA World Grand Prix loss against the undefeated, A.J. McKee -- confirmed he would be vacating the lightweight crown in a post on his official Twitter.

Initially meeting in the co-main event of Bellator 258 back in May in Uncasville, Connecticut -- Freire suffered a second round doctor's stoppage loss to Waterford native, Queally -- who has opened a sizeable cut on the hairline of the Brazilian due to a series of elbow strikes off his back in the second frame. With the loss, Freire suffered his second consecutively -- whilst Queally moved to 13-5-1 with the win -- adding Freire to a run that features a spectacular rallying effort to knockout Ryan Scope in his last outing in the capital.
