A flyweight rematch with high-stakes has been booked for a UFC Fight Night event on January 15. -- with the #2 ranked contender, Katlyn Chookagian clashing with the #4 rated challenger, Jennifer Maia in a rematch of the pair's UFC 244 unanimous decision pairing back in November 2019. At the time of publication, the promotion has yet to confirm a venue or location for the pay-per-view event.
Quakertown native, Chookagian is currently in the midst of an impressive two-fight undefeated run, most recently halting the run of Viviane Araujo at UFC 262 in May at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas in the form of a unanimous decision victory.
For Maia, the former Invicta FC flyweight champion rebounded to the winner's enclosure at UFC 264 in July, handing one-time title challenger, Jessica Eye a unanimous decision defeat. News of the bout was first reported by MMA Ideas on Instagram.
Back in November 2019, Chookagian managed to hand Maia a unanimous decision in a flyweight title-eliminator, with the latter tipping the divisional scales at 127.2lbs for the high-stakes bout.

A seven-fight Octagon veteran, Maia challenged the above-mentioned, Shevchenko for flyweight gold back in November of last year at UFC 255, suffering an eventual one-sided unanimous decision loss over the course of their five round co-headliner.
Throughout her brief UFC run, Maia has bested the above noted, Eye, as well as former title challengers, Roxanne Modafferi, and Alexis Davis, and Joanne Calderwood on short-notice with an eye-catching armbar.
