What next for Max Holloway after UFC 206 title victory:

Hawaii nice guy Max Holloway, claimed his first UFC championship on Saturday night, after he scored a fantastic third round TKO victory over Anthony Pettis to claim the Interim UFC Featherweight title. So who does 'Blessed' face next?

Unification bout with José Aldo: The most obvious and most likely next step for both Featherweight's would be a unification bout between recently promoted undisputed champion José Aldo and Holloway. The wheels already seem to rolling on this matchup, with Holloway confirming that Dana White has offered him the bout with "José Waldo" for UFC 208 in Brooklyn. Holloway doesn't sound too hopeful on the bout ever actually materialising, telling how Aldo is always "hurt" or "pulling out". Furthermore, Holloway told how the real UFC fans know that his bout with Pettis should have been for the real Featherweight title, after recent controversy surrounding José Aldo who was keen on retirement, and the stripping of Conor McGregor, as UFC Featherweight champion.

Rematch with Conor McGregor: Who wouldn't want to witness a rematch between these two? Back in August, 2013, two raw, green mixed martial artists by the name of Conor McGregor and Hawaiian Max Holloway clashed, going the distance in an impressive three round bout, with McGregor coming out on top, despite damaging his MCL in the process. Now three years later, McGregor's and Holloway's stock has risen considerably, with McGregor a former UFC Featherweight and current Lightweight champion, while Holloway picked up his first belt weeks McGregor's UFC 205 triumph. Both men's striking skills have become almost untouchable in the years since their first bout, with the counter striking of both, seeing considerable improvements. One potential obstacle for this rematch is the unlikely event of McGregor competing at Featherweight again, after two stints against Nate Diaz at Welterweight, before his Lightweight mauling of Eddie Alvarez in his most recent contest.

Another Cub Swanson clash: UFC 206 proved to be largely successful event for both Holloway and Swanson, with the latter picking up a hard fought decision victory over South Korean favourite DooHo Choi after a three round war. Both men faced off before, with Holloway picking up a fantastic guillotine win over 'Killer' Cub. Swanson was the #4 ranked Featherweight at the time of his win over 'The Korean Superboy', but the win most certainly reinstates him in the title picture he has been put out of since his UFC Featherweight title loss to José Aldo.
