Brandon Moreno displays wrestling clinic to break the top 10:

The opening bout of the main card of the Ultimate Fighter 22 Tournament of Champions: sees a Flyweight bout between Brandon Moreno and Ryan Benoit. 'The Assassin Baby' Moreno, scored an upset last time out, submitting former top contender Louis Smolka via first round guillotine, while Benoit won a unanimous decision over Fredy Serrano at UFC 201, and also holds KO victory over Sergio Pettis in his professional MMA career. The opening round began with Moreno landing a stinging inside leg kick. Moreno then backed Benoit up against the fence, before landing a deep double leg takedown early on. Moreno was landing some decent strikes, as Benoit rushed forward, before landing a second takedown. We then seen a stoppage in the action with Benoit receiving a unintentional groin strike. Benoit then landed his first real piece of offence, landing a good head kick as the first round ended. First round to Brandon Moreno. The second round began with Benoit engaging in a clinch almost from the get go. Moreno then called Benoit forward, looking to engage. Benoit was noticeably loading up on his strikes, with Moreno picking him off on the exit of the exchanges.  Huge right hand landed for Benoit, momentarily sitting Moreno down, after he missed with an inside leg kick. Moreno then set up a single leg, clasping his hands and slamming Benoit to the mat, to land yet another takedown, 4 from 5 so far for the Mexico native. Benoit was just up to his feet, when Moreno once again slammed him to the mat, wrestling clinic. Close second round, Benoit maybe landing a knockdown. The third and final round began with Moreno clinching. Moreno then misjudged a wheel kick attempt, drawing Ryan Benoit forward. Moreno was continuing to land at ease from close range, forcing Benoit backwards. Moreno's striking was slick throughout the third, landing head kicks and calf kicks with precision. Both men were swinging for the fences as the third and final round drew to a close, with Benoit stumbling Moreno. Brandon Moreno was awarded a split decision as he looks almost certain to break the top 10 Flyweight rankings.
