Valentina Shevchenko and Julianna Peña headline UFC Denver:

The main event of UFC Fight Night Denver sees a potential UFC Women's Bantamweight title eliminator between Russian Muay Thai expert Valentina 'The Bullet' Shevchenko, and American Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, Julianna Peña. #2 ranked Shevchenko, scored a largely regarded upset win over former division champ Holly Holm, while Peña picked up a decision win over Cat Zingano at UFC 200. The Ultimate Fighter 18 winner Peña, is undefeated in her Ultimate Fighting Championship career, with her other notable victory coming against Jessica Eye. Shevchenko on the other hand, has only featured 3 times in the UFC, losing to Amanda Nunes while picking up wins  against Sarah Kaufmann and most recently Holly Holm. The January 28th card features the two skillful females in the main event, while Hector Lombard returns against Brad Taveres.
