Cris 'Cyborg' notified of potential anti-doping violation by USADA

Current Invicta FC Women's Featherweight champion, Cris 'Cyborg' has been notified by the United States Anti-Doping Agency of a potential anti-doping violation, stemming from an out of competition drug test. Justino, has appeared twice in the Ultimate Fighting Championship octagon, securing a first round finish over Leslie Smith, before dominating Lina Lansberg on her way to a convincing second round stoppage. Earlier this month, Dana White and 'Cyborg' herself, told how the Brazilian rejected a chance to feature for the inaugural UFC Women's Featherweight title against either Holly Holm or Germaine de Randamie, expressing her wish to allow her body to recover from a particularly difficult and strenuous weight cut, for her Catchweight bout against Lina Lansberg. Justino's plans to let her body recover, may be the least of her worries, if the test results prove to be positive, she may face a suspension until at least next year. Speculation has risen since the news broke, that a birth control supplement taken by 'Cyborg' in her most recent weight cut may be to blame. If the test results indeed turn out to be positive, the UFC brass and hierarchy are faced with an unwanted headache, the future of the 145lbs division. A realistic plan would have most certainly seen Cris face the winner of UFC 208's clash between Holm and de Randamie for the Women's Featherweight crown, with the idea for maybe a Ronda Rousey meeting in the near future, but with this rather awkward spanner thrown into the works, we may have to sit patiently waiting for that superfight to come to fruition.
