Cody Garbrandt masterclass sees him take the Bantamweight crown:

The co-main event of UFC 207, seen UFC Bantamweight crown holder Dominick Cruz seeking tocdefend his title against Team Alpha Male member Cody 'No Love' Garbrandt. Cruz is arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, will have to be on top of his game to out move Garbrandt and avoid the ridiculous power from the #5 ranked challenger. Garbrandt promised he would KO Cruz, with the champ telling how if that was his plan he's "already lost". "Big" John McCarthy got us underway in the first of five schedule rounds. Cruz landed a good right hand early on and followed up with a vicious leg kick. Garbrandt was tagging Dominick repeatedly early on, with Cruz keeping his hands low. Cruz displayed some fantastic head movement a second Garbrandt rushed in, slipping around the Ohio native. Garbrandt sprawled excellently as Dominick rushed in. Both men were mocking each other in the first round, with Garbrandt looking to frustrate Cruz. Cody then exploded with a fantastic double leg takedown. First round to 'No Love' Garbrandt. Cruz landed some good shots at the beginning of the second. Garbrandt returned with a good combo before Cruz tagged Cody in the exit. Garbrandt scored with a good left hook. Cruz missed with a late takedown attempt, before both men swung as the second ended. Either mans round. The third round began with Garbrandt slipping, and then he caught Cruz with a good right and left hand, opening up a cut with an unintentional head butt. Blood was streaming down the face of Cruz as Garbrandt was getting very comfortable in the octagon. Garbrandt once more tagged Cruz with a right hand. Cruz was down for a moment after a good shot by Garbrandt. Third round to Cody. The fourth round began with Cody once more mocking Cruz, before Cruz landed another decent leg kick. Garbrandt landed a huge right hand which dropped Cruz, Garbrandt pointed as if the fight was over, but Cruz recovered very well. Garbrandt was having fun in there, displaying unreal head movement. Cody once more dropped Cruz and again pointed to the referee. Surreal round for Cody Garbrandt. 5 minutes remaining. The fifth and final round began with Garbrandt most certainly ahead on the judges scorecards. Cruz tagged Cody with a good right hand. Cruz again attempted a takedown with Garbrandt sprawling to avoid it. An almost perfect display from Garbrandt should see him take the title from Dominick. The judges handed a unanimous decision to Cody Garbrandt.
