Urijah Faber V Brad Pickett: What will go down.

UFC Fight Night Sacramento, will be the last time 'The California Kid' Urijah Faber will step foot into the octagon, after the former WEC Featherweight champion announced that his 3 round battle against Brit Brad 'One Punch' Pickett will be his last contest. Multiple time UFC Bantamweight title challenger Faber, holds impressive victories over Dominick Cruz, Jens Pulver, Brian Bowles and Brazilian Raphael Assunção in journey man career. Faber will most certainly go down as one of MMa's all time greats and legends, and as a pioneer for the smaller weight classes of the UFC. His particularly bitter rivalry with Dominick Cruz, spanning 3 excellent bouts will also go down as one of the sports great rivalries, such as Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen, Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz and Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, unfinished trilogy. The time seems to be right for Faber's retirement, particularly with the chance of bowing out in his hometown, losing 3 of his last 4 fights, against Frankie Edgar, Dominick Cruz and most recently a loss to rising UFC Bantamweight contender Jimmie Rivera. Faber's Saturday night opponent, 'One Punch' Brad Pickett, has lost 4 of her last 5 bouts, falling short against Iuri Alcântara, Ian McCall, Chico Camus, before losing via a devastating flying knee knockout to Ricardo Almeida back at UFC 189. A highlight in Pickett's career is most certainly his WEC 48 win over current UFC Flyweight champ Demetrious 'Mighty Mouse' Johnson. Faber should be more than capable of picking up a win on Saturday night over the less experienced Brad Pickett.

Urijah Faber via unanimous decision.
