'Cowboy' Cerrone to jump right back in against Jorge Masvidal at UFC Denver:

Arguably, the most active UFC fighter Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone, has already booked his next bout, just days after scoring another highlight reel KO against 'The Immortal' Matt Brown after a three round battle. Cerrone has now signed to take on fellow Welterweight Jorge 'Gamebred' Masvidal at UFC Fight Night Denver, on January 28th, 2017. This marks Cerrone's fifth bout in 2016 alone, winning his previous 4, against Alex Oliviera, Patrick Côté, Rick 'The Horror' Story and just recently Matt Brown, finishing all 4 of the aforementioned contenders. Masvidal on the other hand, recently competed on The Ultimate Fighter Tournament of Champions Finale: scoring a hugely controversial TKO victory over Jake Ellenberger. Masvidal dropped Ellenberger early on in the first round, but when Ellenberger recovered and attempted a flying knee, he slipped, unintentionally interlocking his foot in the cage, allowing Masvidal to rush in and finish the fight. Herb Dean elected to consult the nearby commission, who informed the veteran referee that it wasn't a 'cage malfunction', thus ruling the bout a TKO victory for Masvidal, with Ellenberger expected to appeal the fights decision. If Cerrone were to pick up a fifth straight consecutive victory at Welterweight since his move, it would be incredibly difficult to deny the Jackson's fighter a title shot, against either Tyron Woodley, or a dream match up against Conor McGregor for the Lightweight championship.
