Vitor Belfort and Kelvin Gastelum clash at UFC Fight Night Fortaleza:
Former UFC Light Heavyweight champ, Vitor 'The Phenom' Belfort will headline UFC Fortaleza against recent UFC 206 victor, Kelvin Gastelum, in a 5 round Middleweight bout. Belfort was rumoured to be retired after his UFC 204 loss to Gegard Mousasi, but has now been booked against Ultimate Fighter winner Gastelum. Gastelum, most recently was forced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship hierarchy to move back to Middleweight from Welterweight, after he missed weight by a rumoured 9 pounds for his UFC 205 bout against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone, and just this past weekend, displayed a striking clinic against veteran Tim Kennedy to score a TKO finish against the military man. The bout between Belfort and Gastelum will also take place at the Middleweight limit of 185lbs, a weight which appears to suit Gastelum better for combat. 'The Phenom', one of the sports greatest and pioneers, seems to be approaching the tail end of his career, losing 3 of his last 4 bouts, and has found wins hard to muster up, since he failed a drug test for elevated testosterone, after engaging with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), after his wins against Michael Bisping, Luke Rockhold and Dan Henderson.
