Amanda Nunes V Valentina Shevchenko II eyed for UFC 213:

UFC 213 is set to stage another barn burner!
With International Fight Week regarded as one of the biggest weeks in a UFC calendar year, the scheduled UFC 213 card is vying with UFC 211 to hold the accolade as card of the year. With stars like Cody Garbrandt, T.J. Dillashaw, Fabrício Werdum, Alistair Overeem, Robbie Lawler, 'Cowboy' Cerrone and Anthony Pettis all booked to feature, Ronda Rousey slayer Amanda Nunes is expected to defend her title for a second time against previous opponent Valentina Shevchenko on the July 8th event.

'The Lioness' of course stopped a returning Rousey in under a minute at UFC 207, while to evenyone's surprise, Shevchenko secured a submission victory over Julianna Peña, despite her more respected stand up. Brazil's Nunes first rose to prominence at UFC 200, smashing Miesha Tate on the feet before forcing the tap via rear-naked choke to claim the Bantamweight crown. Nunes is not the only of the pair to beat former champs, as Shevchenko displayed an incredible striking clinic to decision Holly Holm in their main event clash.

Both are immense talents on the feet, with Nunes' sharp boxing background and Valentina's devastating Kickboxing a constant treat to witness, but things get real interesting on the ground, with Nunes' BJJ black belt handing her 3 submission victories, compared to Shevchenko's surprising 6. Back at UFC 196, Nunes did of course claim a unanimous decision in their first meeting, and subsequently hasn't looked back since. A really exciting rematch as UFC 213 begins to look like a must watch card.
