UFC to introduce Women's Flyweight divison:

Who will become the inaugural Women's Flyweight champ?
The Ultimate Fighting Championship are set to expand their stable of world class female fighters, after they announced that a Flyweight weight class will be introduced alongside the Ultimate Fighter season 26 where the inaugural champion will be crowned. The 125lbs division closely follows the recently established Featherweight division, currently ruled by Dutch kickboxer Germaine de Randamie.

We seen the inaugural Women's Flyweight clash last year, as Valerie Letourneau lost via knockout to impressive Scottish striker Joanne Calderwood in a one sided affair. It seems highly likely that Calderwood will in fact make the plunge into the Flyweight division, along with fellow Strawweight Bec Rawlings, while former Invicta FC Bantamweight queen Lauren Murphy expressed her interest in a drop to Flyweight from Bantamweight after losing 3 of her 4 fights in the challenging division.

An interesting prospect for the Flyweight division would definitely be Marion Reneau or Ashlee Evans-Smith who I believe could certainly restart their stalling careers, or a jump from Strawweight for Paige van Zant who would be extremely marketable as champion or Kailin Curran, with both youngsters looking to rebound from losses.
