Cody Garbrandt out of UFC 213 title defence against T.J. Dillashaw:

We may have wait a little bit longer for these two to clash heads.
UFC 213 has lost it's scintillating main event after current Bantamweight champ Cody 'No Love' Garbrandt confirmed how a recent back injury has forced him from his scheduled title defence against former Team Alpha Male teammate T.J. Dillashaw. Garbrandt travelled to Germany to have stem cell injections to deal with such injury per UFC President Dana White, and it's now believed that the treatment requires four weeks of rest and recovery before Garbrandt can compete once again. The highly exciting International Fight Week event takes place on the 8th of July, and Garbrandt confirmed via his Facebook page how "No I'm not fighting on the 8th. This has been my dream to get to the top and I want to have longevity".

Rumours began circulating late last week that the matchup between the bitter rivals was in jeopardy, when former divison champ Dillashaw, expressed his interest in facing Flyweight champ and pound-for-pound #1 Demetrious Johnson in an attempt to prevent 'Mighty Mouse' from breaking the consecutive title defence record. Both men are of course serving as the coaches for the 25th instalment of The Ultimate Fighter and with a vast amount of bad blood brewing between both, a contest in which both Garbrandt and Dillashaw are completely ready for, is the most favourable option for the MMA community.

UFC 213 takes place on the 8th of July, with Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko rematching for the Women's Bantamweight crown, while stars like, 'Cowboy' Cerrone' Robbie Lawler, Anthony Pettis, Fabrício Werdum and Alistair Overeem are all scheduled to appear on the hugely anticipated card.
