Human Remains Found In Wooded Area Believed To Be That Of Aniah Blanchard

According to Lee County District Attorney, Brandon Hughes, human remains which have been recently discovered in the search of a wooded area are believed to be of missing 19-year-old Aniah Blanchard, the stepdaughter of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris who has been missing since last month.

Blanchard who went missing on October 23rd. last, is believed to have been kidnapped by Ibraheem Yazeed who has been arrested and charged with first-degree kidnapping as well as a second suspect, Antwon "Squirmy" Fisher, believed to in involved in the disappearance, with both suspectes denied bail. In a statement released to CBS 42 by the aforementioned Hughes, he gave the update on the unfortunate news. "I can confirm that human remains have been found and we have good reason to suspect they are that of Aniah Blanchard."

Auburn Police Department also followed up the statement from District Attorney, Brandon Hughes, with a statement in which they detail the search and ultimate discovery of the human remains. "After a brief search by investigators they located what appeared to be human remains several feet into the woodline. A complete investigation is underway by ALEA and Auburn Police to determine the identity and how the victim came to be at that location. The examination will explore if the remains are those of Aniah Blanchard who went missing on October 24th. 2019."

UFC heavyweight Walt Harris was forced to withdraw from his headlining clash with Alistair Overeem at UFC Fight Night D.C. during the search for his stepdaughter, and has subsequently been replaced by Jairzinho Rosenstriuk.
