Jairzinho Rozenstruik meets Alistair Overeem in December.

Suriname striker Jairzinho Rozenstuik will make a quick turnaround after his thirty second demolition of Andrei Arlovski at UFC 244, as he replaces Walt Harris in the main event of UFC Fight Night Washington, as he clashes with veteran finisher Alistair 'The Demolition Man' Overeem. Original headliner Harris, has been forced to withdraw from the main event slot, due to the dissapearance of his daughter Aniah Blanchard almost two weeks ago. Harris, who holds the #10 rank at heavyweight, has make a big statement in the division, scoring two opening minute knockouts of Sergey Spivak and Aleksei Oeilnik over the last year.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik has made a similarly substantial impact on the division since promotional bow at the start of the year. Since February, Rozenstruik has knocked out Junior Albini, Allen Crowder and on Saturday night via a left hook, finished former heavyweight best Arlovski. Dutch kickboxing ace Overeem has landed two stoppages of his own in his last tow outings, picking up victories over Sergey Pavlovich and the aforementioned Oleinik during his latest run to the heavyweight championship.

'The Demolition Man' is one of the most decorated strikers in mixed-martial-arts history, with accolades such as the DREAM heavyweight championship, a K-1 Grand Prix, the Strikeforce heavyweight title stacked in his trophy cabinet. Overeem has challenged for the UFC heavyweight championship before, dropping a first round knockout current champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 203.
