Undefeated middleweight contender, Paulo 'Borrachinha' Costa has taken to his official Twitter account on Tuesday evening, where he aimed a rather heated barb at division champion, Israel 'The Last Stylebender' Adesanya, in a tweet which has since been deleted.

The Brazilian was set to meet the Nigerian-Kiwi in the opening quarter of next year in a championship matchup, until a bicep injury which required surgery postponed the pairing, after he picked up a decision victory over fellow division mainstay, Yoel 'Soldier of God' Romero. Taking to his official Twitter account, Costa had some choice words for his 185-pound rival. "(Israel) Adesanya is afraid, into himself knows. He try looks good but everybody so skinny and fragile s him fell afraid to fight against powerful guys. P***y African."

Costa, who can only return to training in April, will more than likely be overlooked in terms to the next challenger to Adesanya's crown, with both the former kickboxing standout and the previously mentioned Romero calling for a clash in recent weeks. Costa has since deleted the tweet, and issued a comment in his native Portuguese, where he explained how he didn't hold ill-feeling toward Africa as a whole, in a post which has also been deleted.
