Take a look back on a week in MMA where the #3 ranked UFC heavyweight contender, Ciryl 'Bon Gamin' Gane remains undefeated in his professional career - via a unanimous decision victory over the #5 ranked, Alexander Volkov. While Portmarnock native, Ian 'The Future' Garry takes home the vacant Cage Warriors welterweight champion. And Joe 'The SBG Hunter' McColgan scoops lightweight spoils with a guillotine win over Agy Sardari. 

Following Israel Adesanya's sucessful title defence against two-time foe, Marvin Vettori at UFC 263, former opponent and one-time middleweight champion, Robert Whittaker claimed that Adesanya isn't as good as he perceives himself to be ahead of an expected rematch. 

Cage Warriors flyweight champion, Jake Hadley got his call to Dana White's Contender Series for an August showdown against Brazil's, Jungle Fight flyweight best, Klidson Rodrigues. 

Per the Arizona Department of Gambling, Adesanya scooped a $500,000 purse of his bout and win at UFC 263, while challenger, Vettori managed to take home a disclosed $350,000.

Following her victory over Britney Elkin two weeks ago, two-time Olympic gold medalist, Claressa Shields is expected to feature at a PFL event on August 27th. for her second mixed martial arts appearance. 

Former UFC middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold claimed that the surging, Khamzat Chimaev rejected two middleweight pairings against him for events in August -- citing his desire to compete at the welterweight limit. 

Booked to feature at Bellator 263 on July 31st. -- Straight Blast Gym mainstay, Kiefer Crosbie is set to meet with Georgi Karakhanyan. 

Following the cancellation of Max Holloway vs. Yair Rodriguez on July 17th. -- a lightweight bout between Islam Makhachev and Thiago Moises has been promoted to the event's headliner. 

Former Pride FC heavyweight champion and 2004 Grand Prix victor, Fedor Emelianenko is set to return to action this summer for a Bellator: Russia event -- in which he was take headlining honours. 

Ahead of his vacant welterweight title challenge against Jack Grant, the aforenoted, Garry confirmed that he had parted ways with long time team, Team KF Martial Arts -- just 10-days out from fight night, claiming the team of Chris Fields and Tom King "abruptly" decided against supporting him anymore. 

Forced to postpone his Octagon return for the first time since March of last year, one-time interim lightweight title challenger, Kevin Lee suffered a rib injury, which resulted in the cancellation of his welterweight return against Sean Brady at UFC 264 on July 10th. 

Booked to headline Bellator 264 on August 13th. -- two-time middleweight champion, Gegard Mousasi is set to attempt his first title knockback as he draws the #1 ranked contender, John Salter. 

Headlining Cage Warriors 124 on Friday night -- Northern Ireland-born submission ace, Joe McColgan finally managed to scoop the undisputed lightweight championship via a third round guillotine win over defending gold holder, Agy Sardari. 

Taking main event status on Saturday afternoon at York Hall, Ian Garry took home the undisputed Cage Warriors welterweight crown via a striking showcase against former lightweight title chaser, Jack Grant -- managing a one-sided unanimous decision victory.

Headlining UFC Vegas 30 on Saturday night from the UFC Apex facility -- French-born striking ace, Ciryl Gane met with the #5 ranked former Bellator and M-1 Global heavyweight best, Alexander Volkov. Over the course of five rounds, Gane managed to comfortably outstrike the Russian -- on route to a judging win.
