Kiefer Crosbie vs. Georgi Karakhanyan Booked For Bellator 263 On July 31st.

A lightweight bout between contenders, Kiefer 'Big Daddy' Crosbie, and veteran promotional mainstay, Georgi 'Gogo' Karakhanyan has been added to Bellator 263 on July 31st. -- which is scheduled to take place at The Forum in Los Angeles, California. 

8-2 as a professional, Straight Blast Gym staple, Crosbie looks to rebound from a first round doctor's stoppage defeat to Charlie Leary at Bellator Euro Series 9 in Milan, Italy back in October of last year, on the undercard of bantamweight teammate, James Gallagher's submission win over Cal Ellenor. 

For Moscow-born veteran, Karakhanyan, he looks to score his second consecutive victory following a split decision triumph over Bryce Logan back in November of last year at Bellator 251 in Uncasville, Connecticut. Crosbie, as well as his management team, Paradigm Sports Management confirmed the pairing on their official social media accounts. 

"In 5 weeks California gets raided and the Irish flag will be raised in victory once again," Crosbie posted on his official Facebook account. "I guarantee a masterful performance."

A six-fight veteran under the Scott Coker-led Bellator MMA banner, Crosbie had impressed with a two-fight rise prior to his doctor's stoppage defeat to Leary toward the end of last year. Prior to the loss, Crosbie bested both Iamik Furtado and Huge Pereira via decision victories -- the first of which on home soil at Bellator 240 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. 

In his other two Bellator successes, the Dubliner managed to score a unanimous decision triumph against Orlando D'Ambrosio, before a rear-naked choke success opposite Oktawian Olejniczak. 

A massive 17-fight Bellator veteran, 36-year-old Russian veteran, Karakhanyan rebounded from a split decision loss to UFC lightweight alum, Myles Fury with his split judging success against Logan.

Amongst his professional wins, Karakhanyan has managed to best the likes of recent Cage Warriors returner, Paul Redmond, Daniel Pineda, Bubba Jenkins, Lance Palmer, Waylon Lowe, Din Thomas, and Anthony Leone.

Bellator 263 takes place on July 31st. from The Forum in Los Angeles, California -- with the promotion's featherweight Grand Prix tournament concluding with a finale meeting between two-weight titleholder, Patricio 'Pitbull' Freire, and the surging, 17-0 promotional mainstay, A.J. 'Mercenary' McKee taking main event honours.
