Just less than four weeks out from UFC 264 on July 10th. -- the promotion has released a trailer ahead of their pay-per-view event, which features a headliner between former interim lightweight champion, Dustin Poirier, and former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion, Conor McGregor.

Marking the organization's return to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada for the first time since UFC 248 in March of last year amid the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic, which forced the organizaton to field events at the UFC Apex for the majority of last year, as well as two trips to Abu Dhabi, UAE -- in visits billed as ventures to 'Fight Island'.

Since April of this year, however, the promotion has elected to return to full capacity for it's last three pay-per-view events, with UFC 261 taking place at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, UFC 262 at the Toyota Centre in Houston, Texas, and just last weekend -- UFC 263 which took place at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Ahead of the July pay-per-view event in 'Sin City' -- the promotion have released a trailer ahead of the third showdown between lightweight contenders, Poirier and McGregor -- focusing largely on the rivalry shared between the two.

Poirier and McGregor initially met at UFC 178 in September of 2014 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada -- where the Dubliner handed Poirier his first professional knockout loss via a one-punch finish in their featherweight main card bout.

This year in January, Poirier met with McGregor in the main event of UFC 257 on 'Fight Island' -- levelling the score between the two with a second round knockout win over the Dubliner, becoming the first to finish the former two-weight champion with strikes in professional mixed martial arts.

With the vacant lightweight title up for grabs at the above-mentioned, UFC 262 in April, the victor of Poirier vs. McGregor III is largely expected to challenge recently minted lightweight best, Charles Oliveira for undisputed gold before the end of the year.
