Report - Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira Postponed Again, Moved To UFC 267 On October 30th. In Abu Dhabi

The UFC light heavyweight championship fight between reigning gold holder, Jan Blachowicz and the #1 ranked contender, Glover Teixeira is set to be postponed from its expected September 25th. landing pad -- with reports detailing how the bout will take place at a UFC 267 event in Abu Dhabi, UAE for an October 30th. pay-per-view date.

Originally slated for UFC 266 on September 5th. -- the matchup of Blachowicz and Teixeira, as well as the pay-per-view showcase was then delayed to September 25th. -- as the promotion attempt to secure a UFC Fight Night return to London, England for the first time since March of 2019 amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. 

According to a report from Brazilian outlet, AgFight, however, the pairing of Blachowicz and Teixeira is now expected to be postponed once again, this time landing in Abu Dhabi, UAE on October 30th. for UFC 267.

Attempting to score the second successful defence of his light heavyweight championship, Blachowicz, a former KSW light heavyweight gold holder, headlined UFC 259 in March against current middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya -- taking home a unanimous decision victory.

The win came as the Polish veteran's fifth consecutively, following a title-clinching win against Dominick Reyes last October in Abu Dhabi, to go with stoppages over Bellator light heavyweight contender, Corey Anderson, as well as former middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold, and a split decision win over UFC alum, Ronaldo Souza. 

For Minas Gerais veteran, Teixeira, the division mainstay's second title challenge under the UFC's banner will have to wait a month longer, as he looks to record his sixth straight win and finally claim the light heavyweight championship. 

The 41-year-old Brazilian recently dispatched one-time title challengers, Thiago Santos and Anthony Smith, to go with triumphs against Nikita Krylov, Ion Cutelaba, and Karl Roberson.
